Warner Bros. has launched a trailer for the upcoming 4K remaster of director William Friedkin’s 1973 terrifying horror traditional The Exorcist. This film scared the dwelling shit out of me once I first watched it once I was 11 or 12 and it significantly messed me up and I most likely shouldn’t have watched it once I was that younger.
This 4K Ultra HD launch is coming in celebration of its fiftieth anniversary, and it facilities on a “charming 12-year-old girl who takes on the characteristics and voices of others, doctors say there is nothing they can do. As people begin to die, the girl’s mother realizes her daughter has been possessed by the devil–and that her daughter’s only possible hope lies with two priests and the ancient rite of demonic exorcism.”
When this film was first launched in theaters, folks had been freaking out, fainting, and throwing up. People simply weren’t prepared for this sort of horror insanity on the time. It’s humorous watching these previous movies of folks strolling out of the theater after witnessing probably the most horrifying factor of their lives. It’s nonetheless considered one of the scariest films ever made.
The Exorcist stars Ellen Burstyn, Linda Blair, Max von Sydow, Lee J. Cobb, Kitty Winn, Jack MacGowran, and Jason Miller. The screenplay is written by William Peter Blatty, adapting from his personal novel of the identical title.
Warner Bros will re-release the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray of The Exorcist beginning on September nineteenth.
