Vinegar Syndrome has launched a trailer for its loopy upcoming horror thriller titled Eight Eyes. This is a retro horror that appears like a Seventies classic exploitation movie. This is a film that’s going to take audiences on a wild and disturbing trip.
In Eight Eyes, “A mysterious local crashes a couple’s vacation through the former Yugoslavia, pulling them deeper into his web of psychic rituals.” As you’ll see the film goes to be overflowing with blood and gore. It appears jacked up.
Eight Eyes premiered earlier this yr at Fantasia Film Festival. The fest described the movie as follows: “At the breaking point of their dysfunctional marriage, Cass (Emily Sweet) and Gav (Brad Thomas) take a trip through former Yugoslavia in an attempt to mend what has soured. After meeting a mysterious local, Saint Peter (Bruno Veljanovski), who eagerly offers to be their guide, the couple embark on an impromptu sightseeing expedition. However, Cass becomes increasingly disturbed by Saint Peter’s unsettling fixation on them, as they soon find themselves trapped in a nightmarish descent where supernatural forces threaten their lives!”
Vinegar Syndrome stated in an announcement: “Photographed entirely on location in Serbia and Macedonia and on 16mm Kodak film, Eight Eyes draws from European genre cinema and American horror films of the 70s to create a nightmarish tableau of nostalgia twisted into berserk, new shapes. Set among the ruins of the former Yugoslavia, Eight Eyes was developed with significant contributions from the film’s local cast and crew to ensure an authentic portrayal of the cultural environment in which it is set – one rarely been documented on film.”
The film comes from co-writer and director Austin Jennings (The Last Drive-In with Job Bob Briggs), and the story relies on an unique thought by Justin Martell. It stars Emily Sweet (V/H/S/99), Brad Thomas, and Bruno Veljanovski.
There’s presently no launch date.
