“You have a conviction that at a certain age you should have it all together — but then you get older and you keep moving the goalpost,” we’re instructed in a brand new trailer for “Chantilly Bridge.” Linda Yellen’s sequel to 1993’s “Chantilly Lace” sees Lindsay Crouse, Jill Eikenberry, Patricia Richardson, Talia Shire, Ally Sheedy, Helen Slater, and JoBeth Williams sharing the display screen as soon as once more.
The movie sees the childhood pals reuniting after 25 years aside: a dying is what brings them collectively. “There is a land of the living and the land of the dead, and the bridge is love – the only survival, the only meaning,” a voiceover emphasizes.
Asked what she’d like individuals to consider after watching the movie, Yellen instructed us, “To quote Gertrude Stein, ‘There is no there there.’ No matter the age, we are always growing, we are always changing, and, if we’re lucky, we’re gifted with loving friends to grow with along the way.”
“Chantilly Bridge” opens in choose theaters March 24 and hits VOD April 14. Naaji Sky Adzimah co-stars.
