Jenna Ortega is following up “Scream” and ” X” with one other spooky story. A brand new trailer has dropped for “Wednesday,” a Netflix collection that sees her taking up the position of the iconic Addams household character. The supernatural thriller follows Wednesday’s years as a pupil at Nevermore Academy, which we’re advised “was created as a safe haven for our children to learn and to grow no matter who and what they are.”
Wednesday isn’t so certain that the Academy is all it’s cracked as much as be. “There’s just something wrong about this place — not just because it’s a school,” she says. With “secret societies, hidden libraries, [and] a homicidal monster” inside its partitions, Wednesday is left questioning “what other surprises are in store” at Nevermore.
Ortega’s different credit embody Megan Park’s SXSW winner “The Fallout” and Gina Rodriguez-starrer “Jane the Virgin.”
“Yellowjackets’” Christina Ricci performed Wednesday in 1991’s “The Addams Family” and 1993’s “Addams Family Values.” She has a supporting position in “Wednesday.” Its solid additionally contains Catherine Zeta-Jones (“Chicago”) and Gwendoline Christie (“Game of Thrones”).
“Wednesday” launches on Netflix November 23.
