Dark Horse Comics has introduced Savage Squad 6, a brand new sci-fi horror sequence due out in June. The sequence comes from co-writers Robert Venditti and Brockton McKinney, artist Dalts Dalton, colorist Geraldo Filho, and letterer Micah Myers. The e-book follows a crew of elite ladies troopers in a post-apocalyptic world.
Here’s how Dark Horse describes the sequence:
The 12 months is 2037. A brutal world battle has left humanity in shambles. The remnants of civilization are tracked down and systematically eradicated by The Scourge. For the individuals of the central colonies, just one hope stays, an elite crew of warrior ladies deployed into the deadliest location on the planet: Savage Squad 6!
The new sequence is the primary Dark Horse Comics work for author Robert Venditti, and the primary with co-writer Brockton McKinney, who beforehand wrote Jenny Zero with artist Dave Dwonch for the writer. It’s the primary main comics work for artist Dalts Dalton.
In a press release, Venditti described creating the sequence with McKinney:
“Brock and I have been writing together for years, and we’ve been friends even longer,” says author Robert Venditti. “For the first McDitti collaboration, we wanted to bring all the fun and abandon of ‘80s-‘90s action films to comics. Savage Squad 6 is everything we love about explosive firefights, impossible odds, and heroes who never say die.”
