Nnamdi Kanu, the imprisoned chief of the banned separatist group, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has disclosed the rationale behind his plea for launch.
Kanu conveyed that he believes the continued escalation of violence within the southeast will subside upon his liberation.
Following the denial of bail by a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, Kanu addressed the general public shortly after the court docket session.
The IPOB leaders stated:-
“Anybody committing crime can not go free. I swear it. Anybody committing crime within the east can not go free.
“They are doing it as a result of I’m within the DSS ( custody). If I have been to be outdoors, no person can do that . I believe that some individuals in authorities are complicit. They are being profitable with the insecurity.
“They know if Nnmadi Kanu is outdoors, in two minutes this nonsense will cease. Who is the bagger or fool that may communicate when I’m speaking.
“That, I’ll give an order within the East, who’s the fool that may counter it ? Nobody can. I’m Nnmadi Kanu. Rubbish!.
“Anybody involved in any form of violence in the East in the name of IPOB is a goner and they know it. Let me come out of this mess, only two minutes, there will be peace in the East,” he stated.
