Wasps will play in next season’s Championship, but there may be no place for Worcester Warriors.
RFU chief government, Bill Sweeney, stated: “Our goal has consistently been to see Wasps and Worcester in the Championship and preserve the clubs for their fans and the wider communities they serve.
“While we had hoped to see each golf equipment in the Championship next season, we’re happy that following months of labor from all events concerned, Wasps will have a place. We know this will be very welcome information to all these related with the membership. We wish to thank all these concerned with Wasps for the open and collaborative dialogue over latest months.
“We appreciate that the disappointment felt by Worcester Warriors staff, players and fans following the Atlas decision will be very significant.
“For a membership to proceed following insolvency, it’s crucial that it has a sustainable and funded marketing strategy, that there’s transparency about possession and funding buildings, and that rugby collectors are paid.”
