Martin Garrix soundtracked 2024’s first heartbeats from a DJ sales space perched dramatically atop an architectural marvel, the Erasmus Bridge.
More than 60,000 individuals reportedly lined the quays in Rotterdam to look at the Dutch National Fireworks present, with which Garrix’s workforce produced a customized audiovisual efficiency to align. Just hours prior, the celebrity DJ was in Bali headlining the New Year’s Eve celebration at Atlas, the world’s largest seaside membership.
After assembly the Mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb, Garrix ascended the enduring bridge’s towering single pylon, which stands at a peak of 456 ft. The glossy construction earned the nickname “The Swan” after opening in 1996, in line with its designer, Ben van Berkel.
