We Must Unite To End Drug Abuse

Former President Muhammadu Buhari says all involved residents should unite to finish the menace of drug abuse in Katsina State.

Buhari stated this at a dialogue organised by a bunch of involved Katsina elders, Katsina Consultative Forum, KCF, with the theme, ‘Tackling the menace of drug abuse among youths in Katsina State.’

He stated the difficulty of drug abuse among the many youth and girls within the state is a superb concern that requires proactive strategy to nip within the bud.

“Our youths signify our beloved property, and defending them is essential for our nation’s future. We can’t afford to observe drug abuse dismantle their potential and the nation’s future.

“I urge all of us to unite and act decisively towards drug abuse in Katsina State. We should not flip away from this self-inflicted struggling of our youths.

“We need to confront this issue collectively with determination and resolve the challenges,” he stated.

The former president identified that youths had been the long run directors of the state, and their potentials had been immense, saying “you can’t realise these potentials if too a lot of you succumb to drug abuse dependancy.

“Believe in yourself, ability and your future. I know the challenges you face are many, be up to it; we’ll work together to offer you the support and the opportunity needed.”
