Rising LA band Winnetka Bowling League have unveiled their first new music of 2024, the wistfully catchy alt-pop observe “Sha La La.” It’s the newest in a stream of singles and EPs the trio have launched over the previous few years, beginning with their self-titled 2018 EP.

About the music, frontman Matthew Koma says, “‘Sha La La’ is a song about getting older, romanticizing the past, and forgetting all the imperfections that accompanied the highlights. It’s really easy for me to look back and wish I could relive certain moments because time and distance have allowed them to be polished and refined. It’s funny how you can create this false memory of how things were, almost only for the purpose of making you feel terrible about the here and now.”
The band will help Waterparks on a few California exhibits this spring. See their upcoming dates, plus the video for “Sha La La,” directed by Zack Sekuler, beneath.
