We are three weeks into the YNW Melly double-homicide trial, which has now featured 9 days of knowledge-packed testimony because the State makes an attempt to show the rapper killed his mates YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser in October of 2018.
YNW Melly Trial Day Nine
Day 9 of the YNW Melly double-homicide trial started on Tuesday (June 27) with a continuation of the cross-examination of Det. Danny Polo who has been on the stand since day seven of the trial. As the prosecution’s “gang expert,” the State has been utilizing Polo’s experience to attempt to show Melly’s gang ties and the way that will have performed into the murders of Juvy and Sakchaser.
YNW Melly is alleged to have messaged somebody “No regret for the s**t I did,” which is a line from the Kevin Gates tune “4:30 AM.” The prosecution claims that is in connection to the homicide. Melly’s legal professional David A. Howard requested Polo in regards to the line. Polo was once more requested about an altercation that went down between the YNW camp and YoungBoy Never Broke Again camp within the months main as much as the homicide.

Doctor Takes the Stand
Next, Dr. Rebecca Mcdougall, who was tasked with figuring out the way of demise of the victims, took the stand. Her testimony included over 100 pictures of the deceased victims that had been used to find out method of demise for the post-mortem stories. She ended her testimony by concluding Sakchaser was shot earlier than and after his demise, showing to corroborate the State’s claims that Juvy and Sachaser had been shot and killed, and a drive-by was later staged to attempt to cowl up the crime.
However, Mcdougall later testified she couldn’t decide the gap from whence the taking pictures occurred or if there have been one or a number of shooters.

Medical Examiner Takes the Stand
Next, affiliate medical expert Dr. Adrienne Sauder took the stand for the State. She carried out the post-mortem of YNW Juvy. In her opinion, he was shot at shut vary, between three inches and three ft. In a watch-forehead elevating revelation, Dr. Sauder revealed Juvy arrived with none garments. It is unclear if she was referring to the hospital or the medical expert’s workplace.
