Young Thug‘s brother has been arrested on a gun charge, just months after taking a plea deal in the Young Slime Life (YSL) RICO case.
According to WSB-TV, Unfoonk (real name Quantavious Grier) was booked into Fulton County Jail on Thursday (May 4) on charges of possessing a firearm by a convicted felon, persons associated with a criminal street gang to participate in illegal activity and other minor traffic offenses.
Unfoonk previously pleaded guilty to one count of violating the RICO Act and one count of theft by receiving stolen property in the aforementioned RICO case in December.
As part of the deal, he accepted a 12-year sentence with two years commuted to time served, along with 10 years of probation.
His probation conditions included not having any contact with Young Thug and other defendants until the case is over, performing 750 hours of community service, abiding by a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew and not having a gun.
As of his immediate arrest, it’s unclear how these new costs will have an effect on the phrases of his plea deal.
After accepting his plea deal in December, Unfoonk took to his Instagram Stories to disclaim rumors about him snitching on Young Thug.
“Damn people really think I told on my own brother smh,” he wrote on the time. “show me in the paper work I told on anybody lol, I’m not even fenna entertain any of it, peace and blessings.”
During an Instagram Live session days later, Unfoonk claimed the deal additionally included guidelines about what he’s allowed to say in his music.
In the video, a member of his entourage could possibly be heard saying, “We can’t even wipe our nose.” Another member of the crew says “slat,” at which level a separate voice interjects with, “Can’t say that. He had to go back in his album and redo lyrics.”
