Dark Horse Comics has introduced Operation Sunshine, a brand new horror comedy sequence due out in October. The sequence comes from the inventive team of writers Henry Zebrowski & Marcus Parks, artist David Rubín, colorist Ok.J. Díaz, and letterer Ferran Delgado. The sequence follows a gaggle of younger vampires on a mission to revive their humanity.
Here’s how Dark Horse describes Operation Sunshine:
A gaggle of younger, alienated vampires referred to as “bugs” plot to steal a magical object from historical monstrous vampires to show themselves again to human. Along the way in which they uncover a sprawling monster underground, a top-secret plot run by the elder creatures, elite militant vampire slayers, and insanity past imagining blocking their path to humanity.
Along with a major cowl by Rubín, Operation Sunshine #1 will sport variant covers by David Aja and Malachi Ward.
Writers Henry Zebrowski & Marcus Parks are greatest referred to as the hosts of The Last Podcast On The Left. Operation Sunshine is their newest foray into comics, after a comic book guide spinoff of the podcast, and the DC Horror sequence Soul Plumber with artists P.J. Holden, John McCrea, and Mike Spicer. It’s artist David Rubín’s newest work for Dark Horse Comics, with earlier titles illustrated by the artist together with Ether with Matt Kindt and Sherlock Frankenstein & The Legion of Evil with Jeff Lemire.
Check out the variant covers by Aja and Ward beneath. Operation Sunshine #1 (of 4) is ready for launch in shops and digitally on Wednesday, October eleventh.
